Burnham Lodge celebrates unveiling of refurbishment project - 3 Mar 2020
On Thursday, (27th February), Burnham Lodge Nursing Home celebrated the completion of its major refurbishment by throwing a re-launch party for its residents, families, staff and local communities supporting the home.
The refurbishment programme began straight after Hartford Care acquired Burnham Lodge in July 2017. Hartford Care is now delighted to see the beautiful property, which is located on the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire border, restored to its former glory, creating a wonderful environment in which residents and staff can live and work together.
Residents of Burnham Lodge were involved with Hartford Care’s Brand Director Jo Gavin in choosing of furniture and colour schemes for the communal areas throughout the refurbishment. They have all been watching with interest as the home has changed its internal appearance.
The Home celebrated with the cutting of a re-launch ribbon and specially made cake.
Catherine Emekwuo, Burnham Lodge’s Registered Manager, says: “I feel really proud of our refurbished Home and love the reaction to the light and beautiful communal areas from our residents, staff and families. Burnham Lodge is ‘home’ to its many residents, and we wanted them to feel proud of where they lived, so it was important to us that they were involved with helping us choose the décor for their communal areas.”
Sean Gavin, CEO of Hartford Care, adds: “I know the team has worked tirelessly to ensure that care, comfort and companionship has been their focus throughout the restoration work. When I walk into Burnham Lodge, I am so proud to see the residents enjoying their beautiful new surroundings, and our dedicated staff team contributing so much to their quality of life and well-being.”
