Hartford Care Celebrates Families - 28 Aug 2018
Hartford Care Family Day took place on Wednesday 15th August to acknowledge and celebrate everything about family. For the fourth time, the annual social occasion encouraged residents and more than 680 staff to invite their families into the care homes across the south, with one simple rule – to have fun.
Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Children and loved ones gathered at the different locations in the south to enjoy fun, games and a wide range of entertainment.
This year each home hosted a family-friendly, inclusive and interactive event including Country & Western and a Sports Day theme, face painting, Bollywood Dancing, Magicians, petting zoos with ponies, bouncy castles, sumo suits, padding pools, games and delicious food served.
The group of 14 Hartford care homes provide residential, dementia, respite and day care services in Bristol, Berkshire, Devon, Dorset, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.
Led by husband and wife team Sean and Jo Gavin and supported by a professional management team, Hartford Care prides itself on being known as a family-owned business.
Sean Gavin is the CEO of Hartford Care: The Hartford Day Family Day is a highlight in our calendars because it is about making time to have fun with our families. Our families support and encourage us in our day to day work lives and it is vital to bring work and social life together. It is also a chance to thank our teams for their dedicated and committed hard work, so they can enjoy themselves with their families in their workplace. All of our homes proudly promote an ‘open door’ policy and this event reminds people that we are a natural part of the local community.
